This Ficus Elastica Melany or more commonly known rubber plant is native to the Eastern parts of South and Southeast Asia. The plant hosts pointed glossy dark leaves with tones of burgundy running throughout, the foliage gives off the effect of a rubber like texture, hence the name.

Light

This plant likes bright indirect light. However it can cope well in lower lit areas of the home.

When the soils begins to feel dry then water the plant. Avoid overwatering as this can lead to dead leaves.
